MIFA ALLSTARS CANADA is the first and only tackle football team that was developed for women in all of Ontario. The team represents Ontario, Canada both Provincially and Internationally.

FIRST EVER INDOOR INTERNATIONAL BOWL GAME

MIFA ALLSTARS ONTARIO played a historic game on March 2nd, 2019 at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre. Team Mexico travelled to Canada to take part in the first ever Indoor International Bowl game.

MIFA ALLSTARS ONTARIO STORY

MIFA ALLSTARS ONTARIO started with a vision, hours of dedication and investment from those within the local community. MIFA ALLSTARS Ontario was founded over three years ago when Coach Liston B worked with a group of women who were interested in learning the sport. After training the basics and spending countless hours of personal time, Coach Liston decided it was time to take the group to a higher level.

MIFA ALLSTARS ONTARIO was founded to give women the chance to play the sport. It was driven out of opportunity to be able to grow the game and break barriers. MIFA Coaches worked to train women who maybe hadn’t taken part in sports before or those who had never heard of a “huddle”. Through training, practices and personal time, a core group of women learnt a sport they never thought they would ever get the chance to play.

MIFA ALLSTARS ONTARIO has had a journey, overcoming various barriers and boundaries that have placed themselves infront of the team. However, with a strong backbone of volunteers, the team continues to grow every year and provide better and stronger experiences for women to play and compete in the sport.
